Personal Design Help, No Appointment Needed

Choosing furniture can feel overwhelming. There are hundreds of fabrics, dozens of finishes, and an almost infinite number of ways to arrange a room. At Moore Furniture, you never have to figure it out alone. Our team is here to provide the personal, hands-on design guidance that makes the difference between a room that looks put together and a room that truly feels like home.

This is not a formal interior design consultation with an hourly fee. There is no retainer, no package to buy, and no obligation whatsoever. Design help is simply part of how we do business at Moore Furniture. When you walk into our showroom, you get the full attention of a team member who knows our product line, understands how rooms come together, and genuinely wants to help you get it right. We believe that better-informed customers make better furniture decisions, and better decisions lead to happier homes.

What We Help With

Whether you are starting from scratch in a new home, refreshing a single room that has been feeling tired, or trying to solve a specific furniture problem, our team can help with all of it.

Choosing the Right Pieces

Sometimes you know you need a new sofa but have no idea where to start. Our team helps you narrow down the options based on how you actually live. We consider factors like the size of your room, how many people will use the piece daily, whether you have children or pets, your style preferences, and your budget. Rather than showing you everything on the floor, we guide you to the pieces that make the most sense for your situation.

Coordinating a Room

A sofa that looks great on its own can look completely wrong next to the wrong coffee table. Our team helps you think about how pieces work together, coordinating upholstery fabrics, wood finishes, metal accents, and decorative accessories so your room feels cohesive rather than cobbled together. If you are bringing in new furniture to mix with existing pieces you already own, bring photos of your current furniture and we will help you bridge the old and the new.

Navigating Custom Orders

Custom ordering can feel intimidating when you are staring at a binder with 200 fabric swatches. Our team has been through the process hundreds of times and can quickly help you narrow the options based on your color preferences, durability needs, and the overall look you are going for. We will also help you think about practical considerations like stain resistance, pet-friendliness, and how the fabric will age over time.

Solving Design Challenges

Small rooms, awkward layouts, narrow doorways, open floor plans that need to be visually divided - these are common challenges that our team encounters regularly. We can help you choose furniture that is appropriately scaled for your space, suggest configurations that improve traffic flow, and recommend pieces that serve double duty (like storage ottomans or sleeper sofas) when space is at a premium.

How Our Design Help Works

There is no formal process, no sign-up, and no waiting list. Just walk into our showroom and let a team member know what you are working on. We will spend as much time as you need talking through your space, your goals, and your options. Some customers spend 20 minutes and leave with exactly what they need. Others come back multiple times to refine their plan before making a decision. Both approaches are completely fine.

If you are in the early stages and not ready to buy, that is fine too. We are happy to help you think through your room even if you are months away from purchasing. Furniture decisions should not be rushed, and we would rather you take your time and end up with something you love.

Custom Ordering for a Perfect Fit

One of the most powerful design tools we offer is custom ordering. When the showroom floor does not have the exact fabric, finish, or configuration you need, we can order it built to your specifications through our brand partners. This is especially popular with our La-Z-Boy recliner customers, who can choose from hundreds of fabric and leather options to build a chair that matches their room perfectly.

Custom ordering is available on many products beyond recliners. Sofas, sectionals, dining chairs, and accent pieces from several of our brands can be customized. Your team member will walk you through what is available, show you swatches and samples, and help you make confident choices without feeling overwhelmed.

Tips for a Productive Showroom Visit

You do not need to bring anything to get help from our team, but a few things can make the experience even more productive. If you have room measurements (length, width, and ceiling height), bring them. If you have photos of your current furniture, your room, or your paint colors, those are incredibly helpful. If you have saved inspiration images on your phone from Pinterest, Instagram, or magazines, share them with your team member. And if you have a budget range in mind, let us know early. We will never pressure you to spend more than you are comfortable with, and knowing your range helps us focus on the right options from the start.

Who Uses Our Design Services?

Everyone. First-time homeowners who have no idea where to start. Young couples furnishing their first place together. Families upgrading after years of hand-me-down furniture. Retirees downsizing or refreshing their home for the next chapter. People who love decorating and want a second opinion. People who hate decorating and want someone else to do the thinking.

You do not need a big budget, a big project, or a big vision. Even if you just need help picking a single recliner, we are here for you.
